About Us

              Academy Events and Catering opened in May of 2001. The business was started, owned and operated by Chef Mary Ann Campbell, Chef Rick Campbell, and Chef Robert Cawley. Late in 2017, the business changed ownership and is now owned and operated by Council (Chef Tre) & Victoria Turner.

Council (Chef Tre) Turner, III, is a native of Notasulga, Alabama. He graduated and received his Culinary Arts Degree from H. Councill Trenholm College. He was one of Mary Ann Campbell’s top students during her educational journey. He has worked as a Sous Chef and quickly advanced to Executive Chef/ Food Service Director over many properties. Chef Tre is affiliated with the American Culinary Federation. He is also a Certified Executive Chef (CEC), and a Certified Personal Chef (CPC). He has over 10 years of experience in the food service industry.

Victoria Turner is a native of Opelika, Alabama. She graduated and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. She has supervised and managed various operations in the business sector. She has partnered with, and assisted Chef Tre in the food service industry for over 5 years. She has a complied work experience in marketing, accounting, and business.

Full-Service Catering

          Academy Events and Catering is a full-service caterer. We are proud to offer customized menu planning, allowing your occasion to be a reflection of your own personality and tastes.Our chefs will meet with you by appointment to assist in planning your event. After consulting with you, they will present a written proposal for your review.

Floral Design Service

In addition to our complete catering services, Academy Events and Catering offers floral design service, enhancing your occasion’s appeal. Because we work with local floral wholesale houses and personally select your flowers from their freshest blooms, we can assure your floral arrangements will remain breathtakingly beautiful well beyond the date of your event.

Our mission is to provide our clients with food products, floral designs, and service that exceed their expectations and those of their guests. To that end, we use only the finest quality ingredients and prepare our foods to exacting standards. We produce all foods fresh to order in our fully-equipped kitchen. Our floral designers select the freshest blossoms and greenery from local providers to ensure the long-lasting quality of your arrangements. One of our chef/owners will always be present at your events. Our staff has been trained to serve your guests professionally and discreetly. All staff will be in full uniform.
